Mineways is a cool program that converts your Minecraft world into a 3D image that can be sent to a 3D printer. This means that you can actually convert your Minecraft world into a physical 3D map to keep forever!

This is probably the coolest thing I’ve seen for Minecraft yet. The final product looks like the images below. If any of you do this, please post a picture of how it turned out!

Joesph has made some new videos(yay) about how to upload minecraft worlds to your server. This method can be applied to different games as well.

If you havent heard http://minecon.mojang.com/. Its about the official release of the game minecraft at Mandalay bay in Las Vegas, NV. I’ve stayed there, very nice place. Oh how I wish I could go.

Biggest feature in this patch is the pistons.

+ Added pistons
+ Fire or redstone is now required to trigger TNT
+ Fences can be stacked
+ Added shears
+ Shears can be used to pick up leaf blocks
+ Shears can be used to shear sheep without hurting them
* Sheep no longer drop wool from being punched

Just when you thought redstone wizardry was enough, Notch has announced his intentions to add Pistons to the world of Minecraft consturction.

The video below shows pistons in action and we’re sure to see some amazing new machines from this addition. You can block water, push blocks, pull blocks, make elevators or moving secret doors in walls… Cool!
