Would you buy clan hosting from us?
I’m thinking about adding clan hosting as a service to the site. People would be able to purchase clan hosting from us which would come with a large mumble voice server and a clan website package that includes a roster, blog, screenshot gallery, calendar, forum and more. If we started hosting this, would you buy it for $2.50/mo?
Beyond that, we’re considering actually making a public clan index on the site that lists all of our clans who have chosen to be public. Clans could have their recruiting status, member count, logo and name all listed there. Once we had a bunch of clans registered, we would start doing tournaments and giving away prizes to the winning clans.
This would move HGS beyond just hosting games and into being a real hub for competitive gaming and clan play. What do you think?
Not sure about the term Clan for the use for my server, but for groups, like communication central for my Minecraft server, this would be very useful. We could stop using BlogSpot and our FB group for most of the information. The use of the forum would be greatly useful as well.
Just how large of a mumble server would it be? Could combining it with the mumble server that comes with MineCraft servers be helpful?
It could be any number of slots… I really am just trying to figure out what would really draw more clans to us. I do know that if we can start attracting organized clans, we are one step from doing our own leagues and tournaments.
