We’re obviously following Cube World very seriously. There isn’t mining and detailed construction (please add it!) but it looks like an awesome adventure game none the less. Should be a hit.

So I stumbed on this today: http://www.paradoxplaza.com/games/gettysburg-armored-warfare and I’m wondering where it came from. Normally I hear of games pretty darn quick, but this one has come out of left field.
So, maybe we should host it? Looks interesting. It is scheduled for Q1 2012 release by Paradox Interactive.
If you want your own world map like mine below, it’s pretty easy to make happen.
Step 1) Download Terrafirma and install it.
Step 2) Start Terrafirma from your start menu and go to File -> Connect to Server…
Step 3) Input your server IP and port. The port is everything after the : sign in your panel and the IP is everything before it.
Step 4) Click File -> Save PNG and choose where to save your image.
Easy!

I’m thinking about adding clan hosting as a service to the site. People would be able to purchase clan hosting from us which would come with a large mumble voice server and a clan website package that includes a roster, blog, screenshot gallery, calendar, forum and more. If we started hosting this, would you buy it for $2.50/mo?
Beyond that, we’re considering actually making a public clan index on the site that lists all of our clans who have chosen to be public. Clans could have their recruiting status, member count, logo and name all listed there. Once we had a bunch of clans registered, we would start doing tournaments and giving away prizes to the winning clans.
This would move HGS beyond just hosting games and into being a real hub for competitive gaming and clan play. What do you think?
What do you think? It’s 100% legit. No hacking or cheating. Some of the entry walls are obsidian. The brick its made out of is the stuff that comes from the dungeon because its the only thing that wont get infected by the corruption in hard mode. The switches at the entry point and the first room open the barrier which protects the fort from fliers. There are enough rooms for all the NPCs and the entry is just high enough to grappling hook up three wood bars until you get to the main fort.

We recently mentioned that we had Windows game server hosting working. Well, our second game (after Terraria) is going to be Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (MW3). Price per slot will start at $0.80 for private slots and $1.10 for public slots. Servers will be un-ranked until we figure out exactly how that all works.
That should set us below the prices of our competitors. Especially when you consider all the cool features that come with our hosting
