Popular L4D2 modder and map maker Sky has written a great tutorial for configuring your Left 4 Dead 2 server to support more than 8 players.  With his instructions you can have up to 18 or 24 players on a single L4D2 server!  That’s a lot of madness.

Naturally, we have a test server up here with 18 players!  Hosted Game Servers really shows its power by hosting this kind of madness with no sweat.

Just looking at the new AvP3 videos make me drool! I know it’s excessively bloody and gory, but the amount of ways you can play makes this a winner alone. You can use a variety of weapons and tactics, as well as finishing moves and an amazing first person experience.

Okay.  I’m crying as I write this.    BioShock 2 has confirmed they aren’t supporting dedicated servers.  They will be doing peer to peer only.

That means that less than 24 hours after putting BioShock 2 up on the site… it’s coming right back down.

Between this and Modern Warfare 2, I’m beginning to wonder: “Where are all the dedicated servers going?!!?”

I was looking at our webmasters data and realized that we’re one of the top results for ‘gameservers.com down’…  So if you’re Googling around thinking ‘man… gameservers.com goes down a ton!’ then maybe you should switch to Hosted Game Servers!  We’re up and rockin’!

Basically, we’re totally blocked for searches for ‘game servers‘ but we rank #7 in a search for ‘game severs‘… Yeah, I know… awesome.  The reason is because I had an old Modern Warfare 2 link in my sitemap.  Google crawled on it then promptly de-listed me in paranoid fashion.
